Which commute day is the best?
 

For you who are commuting as much as possible, which day of the week is the fastest for you?

Myself I expected Mondays would be the fastest, but data does not confirm that.

I don't worry about speed anymore. I just enjoy the ride.
Besides, I used to notice that taking my time or pedaling my ass off only resulted in a difference of about 5 minutes on my 12 mile commute.

My fastest days are the ones when the wind is favorable. :)

You're missing a day here.

Only the low volume day. If you're not missing a day a week from commuting, you're operating subpar.

Well, I work sundays and all things equal, it's my fastest day. No traffic in the industrial park.

On Mondays I carry a large backpack loaded with clothes, so I feel super light on Tuesday when I get on the bike without it. I don't know if I'm faster, but it feels that way. I also feel pretty light on friday, but that's just because there usually isn't anything weighty on my mind.

They're all fast for me - I like going fast, not to get to work sooner (doh!), but because racing is fun! Especially at 5:30 am when there's no traffic on the road :D I'm more motivated on Mondays though, after a weekend layoff.

You left out Sundays...... My favourite commute day, no traffic. Some of us self-employed people do work Sundays..... Oh, and we also ride our 'good' bikes to work that day.... :)

I voted Wed & Thurs based on gut feel, although I have the data to analyse if I had the patience/desire to do so.

By gut feel is based on how I remember I feel, not my speed, I do know I warm up bit on Monday's after non-cycling Sundays, then Tue-Thru work hard on the commute. I always feel a bit worn out by Friday, especially the ride home, unless I have an amazing beautiful day or tailwind (which is very rare these hot 110deg afternoon summers)

I tend to push myself a little harder on Friday, although I did match my best time today which was from last Friday. If I would have caught a green light or two I would've beaten it.

Thursday & Friday here, not sure why but those are the lightest traffic days.

It all depends on how good by legs feel and how much energy I have in me. It's a random thing for me. (I commute 7/7 days, so I must agree that your missin' a day :D . . . but it's no biggie :) )
