Due to Family needs I had to make a quick trip to the U.S. east coast. Water rationing starts Monday, here in Virginia.. No showers after rides posssibly.. The rivers here almost look as dry as our 'washes' out in California..
I see lots of bike racks on cars and ocassional bike lanes, but few bikes on the road. Charlottesville,Va. a university town- thought I might see lots of cyclists.. Certainly not as many as California.. But university still not in session.. This humidity- think I would do mostly night rides, ; if roads are safe..

We've been having plenty of rain the last couple of weeks. Matter of fact, last night (9 pm) was our first serious Tornado Warning. I put the cats and dog in the basement in their carriers so they were safe and went out to watch ( hey, I grew up in Kansas)...

The bike and the trike won't make it down the basement stairs (old house, narrow turns) so I was getting worried.

Chris, I know EXACTLY how you feel. Our lake levels were dropping, dropping... We finally got rain, in fact, we kept getting it and getting it!

Sorry to hear about the dry spells north of us!
