This communting section is a dream come true!! I can now rant to people about someone who runs me off the road and instead of telling me that I dont belong on the road, they will actually(hopefully) be on the same level as me.

I ride my bike all over to class here at school and such and during the summer I have about 2 near death experiences a day on my way to work!!

Just thought I would share this.

Welcome, Dan! This is the place for the crazies who ride to work, school, whatever. Two near-death experiences per day grants you admission.

    Dan,

Yesterday I was riding down a short hill toward work, and I had cars all around me. I was traveling the same speed as the traffic, but the dude in the car behind me decided that he should be in front of me. I kept glancing back to see if he was going to go around, and after the third glance he finally went around. On his way, he honked his horn at me. I really shouldn't have done to him what I did, but I called him an expletive which I'm sure he didn't hear, and waved my arms at him in disgust. My waving didn't include the middle finger. I usually don't experience the adrenaline that I could be getting with a long ride since I live 1.44 miles away from work, but this experience got my adrenaline going.

I should have just remembered the make of his car and license plate number. I could have had my connection at the local police office run an APB on him. Instead I let my emotions take over. Should I be scared that the next time the guy runs across my path that he will do something stupid to show that he is stronger than me?

I wouldnt be too worried about that guy. Chances are that if there were a stop light ahead or something and you went up to his window to say something to him he would get all flustered and nervous instead of being the tough guy that he thought he was when he was able to drive right past you. Its kinda like how people on computers are all really gorgeous and beautiful (like myself ) but in real life they are just regular ordinary people. I dont know if that made much sense, but it did to me.

    Hey guys!

Yep, all you need for admission is the common experience of cycling. Beyond that, I have no credentials whatsoever! (I'm not even sure cycling is enough to give me credibility here!)

As Groucho Marx said, "I wouldn't want to belong to any club that would accept me as a member."

Right, how do we know anyone on here really even owns a bike.

Yeah, that Bikefo is great stuff! It has made me the man I am today: old, balding, and overweight. But the great thing about Bikefo is that when used a in a conscientiously applied program of consistent use in a well-thought out training regimen, you just don't care anymore. Why even now, I am working on increasing my cadence - from 40 milliliters per hour to 50 milliliters per hour. I'll tell ya, I can feel the results already!
