There was a thread a while back about Surly changing the colour of the LHT. Heres the 'formal' announcement form the surly blog:

https://www.surlybikes.com/surlyblog.html (check the Nov. 17th entry)

I'm glad I got the frame in Sage green before it became obsolete...

My Long Haul Trucker, Surly Dan, whispers "It ain't easy being green!" to me in my sleep at the campground. Sometimes I wake up and he's got fresh mud on the fenders.

I had some fiftiesh woman give my 'trucker girl' mudflaps the thumbs up at the bakery window today.... she and her crew of kids were like, 'coolest!' but she totally started it. I wonder if she wanted a piece of me??

BUT, I've had nothing but positive comments on the LHT, it comes from drivers on the ferries, folks at the campsites, young and old alike. Even before the chrome mudflap girls went on.

I don't mind the sage green. I looking for a discounted sage green Surly due to the color change.

I am hoping to get a Long Haul Trucker next year, and I honestly thought the sage was OK, but it is not the selling point for me.

I am looking forward to seeing how the new colors look...

With a tiny piece of Black Cherry Pearl in the lower left corner of the pic of the whole frame.
