It's very old technology.
Of the five bikes I have, my Townie3 is the most stable. Especially when towing a long and heavy trailer, particularly when towing a long and heavy trailer down a sand road. Even better than my MTB. My road bike and roadish hybrid are worthless for this.
That boat ramp is almost exactly three miles from my house. One of the other places I go is a little over 7 miles, over five miles of which are also sand road.
