Jackson, MS

I am moving to Jackson, MS and would like information on commuting there. In particular what neighborhoods should I consider if I am trying to get to the U of MS Med Center?

Thanks in advance.

I believe you are going to want to live in Belhaven, its a really cool neighborhood with lots of old established trees and neat houses. However you must be careful because there are bad neighborhoods within a short distance, although you shouldnt have to go thru those to get to the hospital from Belhaven. I bought myself a commuting bike for Christmas but haven't used it for anything but base miles/road rides so far, however if your into mountain biking I could clue you in on the places to go around here.
