Man, it was sure was cold this winter season (i.e. only the month of Jan). Overnight temps dropped to the mid '40's and once in a while the upper '30's. Daytime temps were high '60's. But now we Los Angelenos have had overnight temps in the '50's and daytime temps in the '80's. I guess having 1 bad month of weather out of the year isn't so bad. Now I can commute every day.
How's the weather out there in Phoenix? I know it gets extremely hot in the summer. When does the cold winter weather end for you guys?

I biked to work this morning as the sun was beginning to rise through the gray haze. It was about 15 degrees F outside. Fortunately, there was only about 4mph wind to deal with. It's beardsicle weather!

I wish I was commuting in L.A. in the mid 40's here in PA ... road conditions now makes cycling for me prohibitive due the risk of getting run over.
I do not exactly love you ....you .... you .... taunter!!

I know that must sound warm as heck to a lot of you, but you should see the way people dress like it is below freezing to ride when it is partly cloudy and 55F around here.

It was 24°F at my house this morning, and thursday afternoon it should be 62°F.
Now, what is the problem with riding at different temps?

I'd gloat too, but I seem to remember way too many days of 100 degrees, 99% humidity during the summer. Yay global warming? It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't commute on asphalt most of the way. Last summer, I got sidewall cracking on my Paselas, most probably from excessive heat, because I certainly never over- or under-inflate them. Happened to both tires.
