DIY Fenders - sources for parts?
Does anyone know of a source for mounting hardware for fenders? Specifically, I can't find the brackets that go on the fenders themselves. Thanks.

You haven't provided a lot of information to go on. Despite that I'll hazard a guess. Small L-brackets. A hardware store shold have various sizes available. You may have to be prepared to modify them or even fabricate your own.

Planet bikes sells hardware for their fenders,as does SKS I think. You could use their hardware with your own fenders.

You can just bolt something through the fender to attach it. Or you can crimp something around the edge like some of the factory brackets. Just get some sheet metal and cut it it shape. Heavy gauge aluminum flashing from a hardware store might work. You can buy flat stock for bending and drilling in most hardware stores too.

Thanks for the replies. I'm mainly interested in the bracket that attaches to fender itself that the struts attach to. Now that I've thought about it some (with your input), I think it will be fairly easy to fabricate something or adapt something from the hardware store. This will be for some wood fenders my brother is making.

River City Bikes here in Portland make the FullWood fenders and has all the hardware fabricated for them. You could try them to see if they can sell you something.
