Reason #327 Fenders rock our world
Just put Freddy's on my commuting atb. Had a little trouble as the suspension fork had two eyelets on one side and non on the other (disk brake upgrade on this crappy stock fork?), interestingly the eyelets were to big for any of the hardware, so i used a bolt through with washers. On the other side I used a zip tie to hold it until I can get to the hardware store for the famous P-clip.
First thing I notice, even with a rattle from the front fender every now and then (the zip tied stay has a little give to it) the bike is much quieter.
I used to here a constant whirr and click from the drive train/rear wheel. Somehow the rear fender seems to dampen much of this noise. Couldn't hear any noise from the rear tire on the pavement either.
Stealth bike! yeah!
Lovely things. Can't wait for some rain to really try them out. I think the next upgrade will be some lights attatched to the fenders.

I finally had a chance to test my SKS fenders on my touring bike. Worked great. Now if I ever invest in decent raingear....
33F and a moderate rain resulted in me taking the bus most of the way to work.
