Tax Breaks for Commuters?
I read the other day, that Congress is considering this. How would this work? It seems so susceptible to cheating. If somebody rides to work once a year, is he a commuter? I can't see involving the employers. That would more than likely result in corruption and bureaucracy.
The only way I could see it working is if they used an honor system with a quota number, like 50+ trips by bicycle.

Our Congressmen are good at floating 'trial balloons' for local consumption . . . they'll double our current tax break, which off course will be: 2 x $0 = ? WOW!

It'll get shot down before the bill is passed. There is no way of (cheaply) verifying that someone is faithfully riding their bike every day.
