First road bike

I am thinking about getting this Bianchi San Jose I've been eyeing at LBS which I'd like to commute with (and use for general city riding of course), but this would be my first road bike and I don't know how the sizing works with them. I know sizing doesn't matter that much for MTB bikes, that's why mine is a bit too small (size 16.5), but I like it that way. Now, I know sizing a road bike is more important, so I was wondering about size(s) I should look at.

For a MTB I ride size 16.5/17, I'm 'bout 5' 10' 135lb (yeah I'm skinny, but I have muscles--HAHA). I originally was going to convert my MTB to a commuter but I realized it wasn't comfortable enough for that.

thanks

john

whats that website where it shows you how to take the measurements you pump them in and it tells you what size bike you should get?
Top tube is more important than seat tube these days. Inreality its pretty easy to figure out if a bike is comfy or not. If your young you can usually get away with a bit more discomfort. No offence to the more experienced (like how I called you older ) guys and gals here.
Good luck with the bike.
Anyway the shop should fit ya, if they dont I would leave.

Go to your LBS and get them to fit you for a road bike. You can compare what they tell you against what you info you get off the net, but why get a human with som experience involved?
