Meh

So.. yeah. Yesterday on the way home, some lady in a big SUV clipped my back tire... I was going straight through an intersection, she was turning left from the opposite direction. I didn't think anything of it at the time, she barely touched me, but when I got near the house, I noticed some drag... the back wheel is hitting the brake and frame at one point, checked, and sure enough, I have a broken spoke, and two bent ones.

So I rode the old one in... it needs new pedals from a crash about 2 or 3 weeks ago, when someone crowded me over, and I caught the tire in a crack in the road and went over.

I'm REALLY starting to hate people.

On the plus side, she DID stop... well, long enough to cuss me out for 'Not getting out of her way' ....

I'll have to start getting plate numbers just in case. *sighs*

Denver is amazingly cycling friendly, isn't it?
Maybe the city itself but not many of the residents. It gets worse in the burbs.

bmclaughlin, you'll have your day, don't worry.

I'm glad you're okay. What's a few spokes compared to, say, a few ribs?

This was downtown, I usually avoid going down there with my bike, but I needed to cash a check.

Ah, well. *starts making a shopping list*
