Endorphin High

Really burned up the road riding my 17 mile commute this morning. Pretty much record time or thereabouts. Now I'm at work at my desk and I'm surfing a big endorphin high. Who needs coffee?

Me.

I usually hold off having coffee at home before leaving in the morning. Knowing that I'm going to get coffee at my desk is one of main reasons I actually stop riding when I get to work.

Two minds, but one thought. +1, me too, etc etc. In fact I'm going to go brew a pot of Guatamalan El Indio right now....

Agreed. I'm always the first person in the office and brewing a pot is one of the things I look forward to each day.

I should add, I have the joy of working directly next to www.saharacoffee.com. THE BEST coffee I've ever had.

The coffee here sucks.

I'm just eating a cup of oatmeal and enjoying my endorphin high! I had a great 10 mile ride in this morning. I didn't push too hard but definitely felt relaxed on the bike and got a good ride in.

No trouble with cagers today either.

I agree!

I drink coffee, but when I ride in I don't drink a cup for a good half hour after I arrive. I'm too pumped up and full of energy to drink something hot.

I'm with that. When I get here I'm too hot already to have coffee. Except during the winter when its 15 degrees out and I just spent 45 minutes slogging through ice and snow on my studded tires.... then I NEED coffee asap LOL.

Do you work in the morning? I've always wondered if pop rules were the same as alcohol; not before 11:00AM? (but who follows rules anyway, )

I brew a pot in the morning too, but I drink 5+ cups a day. Had to start brewing it weak!

I'm a water fiend. I drink water at home, work, on a ride, in a plane, on a train, with green eggs and ham......
That and I am allergic to caffeine.

You and me both.
Strangely enough, I'm actually a bit depressed. I only have documentation to work on. Did I mention I HATE documentation?

I thought this was a good forum - WHAT DO YOU MEAN NO COFFEE! Coffee is life blood. Without coffee - I might end up sleeping for a week. Coffee - Liquid Ambition

Oh, and for me, it is local - Shade Grown Organic Costa Rican Coffee - fresh roasted...

Let's see - premium coffee, 3 dollars a lb.

So, lets keep it nice - no dissing coffee.

MMMMmmmm yummi! Costa Rican coffee FRESH. For $3 lb! <cries at his $12/lb coffee>

DataJunkie: I know, documentation sucks. I hate it too. I was going to hire 10,000 monkeys to bang it out for me but the recruiter said that Bill Gates already had them working on Windows Vista.

coffee drinker here too. But i'm not real picky about it, as long as it's strong and dark. It is one of the things I look forward to after the ride in, or more acurately...soon after i wake up. I use a french press at work because we have easy access to hot water, but not any good place for a coffee maker.

also mark me down as loathing documentation. We'd better not diss documentation too much though, there is a forum member called 'linux_author' who I believe actually is a linux author.

Documentation is for those who can't read code... 25+ year coder... Honest, I take over a project, and I remove the comments - they lie. (well, they were probably true once upon a time...)

I use an expresso maker to make Cafe Americano - and I have addicted all the help. Does that make me a bad influence?

I rode the train today after 2 hard rides yesterday - I'm pondering my second cup. Do I need it or not?
