Back on subject and speaking of LOUD clothing, and wanting to be seen... the best thing I ever saw was fairly low tech... it was simply a cyclist riding in a high vis vest, with a light mounted on the rear rack aimed at his back. You could tell for a long way off that it was a cyclist. The profile of the rider was quite evident by his back lighting.

Dickies mesh safety vest ANSI 2, VE206
hi-vis orange or yellow
multiple bars of Scotchlite reflective tape

My L/XL spare is:
303g
10.70 oz

I've thought of adding high reflectively tape, but it heavy and too stiff for an everyday riding vest.

I always wear an AlertShirt unless it's cold enough to wear my jacket on top, which is also yellow and has reflective stripes.
This year I switched to long sleeve AlertShirts to keep the sun off my arms; that way I only need to sunscreen my wrists, hands, and the back of my neck.

I thought that said "baconwear" at first, and I thought "I gotta get me some of THAT."
