Happy Car Free Day!

It's not such a big deal in Toronto and to many people in North America, but it sure is to me. Everyday is car free day for me.

I could have written this article!

Curses! The one day when I couldn't ride my bike to work (for reasons too long and annoying to post here -- I blame my landlord and the Chinese government) it's Car Free Day! Ah well, I'll make up for it next week.

Of course today is the first day I've driven my car to work in weeks. I didn't even hear about it, figures.

And the same to you, stokell. We celebrate here in Portland, too. I was at a donut-eating contest earlier in the evening. What fun. We actually have stuff going on all weekend. Bands play tomorrow.

Can you be car free, if you drive a vehicle for your employer? I am thinking someone like a bus driver or a courier here.

If you're still bored, Danwei TV has a lot of fun programs about what's going on in Beijing.
