Well I got the bike.
I just bought my Ross Mt.Snow 256 . The ride home was fun but i forgot to ask my lbs on how to use . it was in the wrong gear for most of my ride lol until i figured how to use it. I like it alot only thing i got to do is adjust the handle bars a little higher. do u think i should put some semi-slicks on it since its not winter yet ? i will post some pics later.

Often it takes a week or two to get a "feel" for a new bike, and after you and the bike have gotten used to each other, you can "fine tune" the saddle height and bar height.
It is useful also to do some practice riding in a large empty parking lot. Every bike has different handling and braking quirks. More than once, I've had a unnecessary crash, because I was riding a new bike that handled, or braked very differently than the bike I had been riding previously. You might also have the shop check over the bike in three or four weeks, and do a "tune-up" of the braking and shifting. If you ride a bunch during October, the cables will stretch, and various nuts and bolts may get a bit loose. And the main thing: ride a lot, and have fun. |
thanks alanbikehouston i rode it around a few times and my lbs told me to go back in 2 weeks to get everything checked over again. I'm only confused about the suspension for now since it doesn't move at all lol.
