I am having trouble with my Polar s725x and my Light & Motion LiIon HID lamp. I have seen a couple of things on making a Faraday cage with aluminum foil. Can anyone elaborate or offer other suggestions?
I have already converted my sensors on the Polar to high output and still have the problem.

Metal foil is so last century. The circuits that jump battery voltage to the high voltage used in the HID light emit some RF (radio interference). Not enough to get in trouble with the Feds but enough to induce bad signals in some wired or wireless bike computers. Electronic shops sell metal and Mylar tapes for shielding. Start at the source, covering the part of your HID system that changes the DC to AC then jumps it to the 1000? or so volts used by the lamp. Still trouble shield as much of the HID lamp as you can and and leads. Maybe even shield the computer and any leads there. If HID lamps really catch on another selling point for computers will be "Rated HID Proof".
Please, as long as you have interference problems, consider avoiding people with PaceMakers, Hospitals, and blasting operations.
