Cheap, no frame to interfere with your vision.

Did I mention cheap?

Also, maybe put Rain-X on them so the rain runs right off.

What do you say?

Many other styles available, as well as Ztek mini for small faces.

RainX has adverse effects on plastics. RainX on car's headlights yellow and dull eventually.

I'd avoid Rain-X and just use dishsoap instead. Rain-X can mess up plastics pretty bad. Other than that, if they work, are comfortable, and the price is good for you, then go for it.

I would never buy a pair of glasses off the internet that I hadn't actually tried on beforehand. You really want to make sure they're comfortable enough to wear all the time.

But my head tends to not fit most of the glasses out there... you may be different.

You guys with good vision make me sick. I'm still looking for winter goggles that will fit over my glasses and have "clear" lenses.

Go to www.e-rudy.com

They take kickass rudy glasses, clear, tinted, whatever, and can grind your perscription right into the lens, no adapters needed.

I have prescription, polarized, shatter, & scratch ressistant sun glasses. Not sure how much truth is to the last one, being all my other eye glasses in the past scratch all the time using the special cloth(as to not scratch them?). It does have black tint, but I still have to squint at times & you can still see through them from the outside in. They are rimmed, but that was the style I wanted. Doesn't make much difference to me. They're made from Boll'e I believe the name is. They even stayed on in my recent car vs. bike accident.

Oakley also makes glasses with the prescription in them, no second inserts.

They can't make it for all prescriptions. Not the RX ones anyway. As for prescription lenses in sunnines, any decent sunglasses frame will take them, talk to your optomotrist and they can normally suggest a few and get the lenses made up. Mine got me in contact with a rep for a few manufacterers and he came around with his giant suitcase filled with frames, I was in heaven.

As for Rudys, sure would love a pair. But I'd rather buy a new bike instead.

Tell me about how you do the dishsoap thing and how well it works.

If I messed up a $2.50 set of glasses with Rain-X, I wouldn't cry for long.

I find that the frame of traditional glasses gets in my view when I'm down in the drops...

This item from Louis Garneau looks perfect: Windscreen

The only problem is that I can't find a place to buy it! No-one seems to have it. If you find a place online that has this windscreen, please let me know...

I take a drop of dishsoap and dab a little on the surface of the lenses, then I smear it around with my fingertip until the whole lens is covered with a thin film of soap. Then I use the cleaning cloth that came with my shades to wipe them clean and streak-free.
It's been working great for me. I think it's even better than Cat Crap or the anti-fog wipes that I was using previously. Plus, it's only $1.89 for a 32oz bottle of cheap-o brand dishsoap and I can wash my dishes with it (and use it for chain cleaner, too, according to another thread.)

So, does it make the raindrops shed off like magic, like Rain-X?

I have one. I don't like it at all. It is uncomfortable and hot. The plastic scratches easily and it doesn't clear my glasses even though I have small lenses.

My prescription is a -9.5! That means that none of the nice coverage sunglasses will take my prescription (they are usually limited to -4.5 or -5). It also means that even most of the ones with inserts won't work as the lens will be too heavy and thick unless the inserts have a very small frame.
I'm still looking for a nice pair of glasses that offer some coverage and can handle my prescriptions. I have found some over the glasses sunglasses from a drug store that have an amber lens but I will need something with less light reduction for riding after dark in the winter.

bolle Boost OTG Over The Glasses Ski Goggle

These are the new model of the OTG goggles. I have the x500 (discontinued) and they work very well. All you have to do is buy the clear lense and they swap out. Personally I have not had trouble with the phototropic lense that came with my goggles even on the darkest nights.

I do have a bit of fogging at first, but once the outer/inner lenses temperatures balance out you are good to go. This fogging generally takes about 5 min to subside.

*shock*
Speak to your optomotrist dude. Any decent frames should be able to take your prescription. All they need basically is the proper recess in the inside of the frame where the lens will sit to go in. Sure, normally the larger the coverage = more curved frame = more curved lens = more expensive. I'm a -8 and I got a pair of Jag sunnies and while having a look around I found that the prescription lenses will replace any of the Rudy Project lenses. The RX frames (that clip into another frame with another darkened lens on top) are normally limited. But from what my optomotrist told me, is that you can get the same prescription into a proper sunglasses frame, such as Rudy's as you can get into normal prescription clear lensed glasses.

You can even get them to put a clear lens in them instead of a tinted one. Of course, it's going to get quite expensive getting all the different colours and shades made with your prescription in them. Not to mention a new frame for each of them.
