Rack for Poprad -chainstay interference problems

I am trying to find a rear rack to fit my Lemond Poprad. The lower threaded rack/fender mounts are located so close to the chainstay that the thickness of the seatstay interferes with mounting a rack. I just tried an Old man Mountain Redrock rack but the width of the rack at that point would mean I would need a significantly longer bolt, and a 1/4" spacer between the rack and the chainstay. I'd like to find a rack that would would attach closer, however, I do like the OMM brake boss attachment as this bike has no braze-ons for attaching the rack higher up.

It appears the a Jandd rack may work, or posible an Axiom rack as the mouting member is very narrow and shouldn't interfere with the chainstay. Has anyone tried these racks? are they durable? Anyone else have a Poprad mounted with a rack?
