WoooHooo...free Nokians!!!!
I was mountain biking last week with a buddy of mine who after learning that I commuted daily offered me a set of "old studded tires" his brother had left when he moved to phoenix. He was not sure what size they were but said he would bring them to the ride this morning. I could not believe what he produced...Nokian Hakkapeliita W106's!!!!!
I run 27's on my conversion ss but I intend to mount one of these to my front 700c road bike wheel (not like I will be road riding during the winter much anyway). I will just have to quickly adjust the brake pad settings for a quick change to studded tires on those rare Icy/Snowy days.
Anyone running these things and how do you like them?
THANKS MAN!!!!

I just put 'em on yesterday. Freakin' heavy tires. And studs handle a little wierd, so beware it takes some time to get used to their feel.
