Got to be in a parade

Huntsville has a Christmas parade every year. This year I got to take part as part of Alabike and the Spring City Cycling Club. I don't think there was a normal road bike there. My friends were riding banana bikes and choppers and bmx bikes, I was riding a fixie, others were riding recumbents. There were maybe three normal road bikes. I'll post pictures when I get them.

When I was still in high school I was out riding one day and ran across a parade setting up. One of the floats had a friend of mine on it, their theme was 4 Seasons of Sports ... only ... hardly anyone showed up. They made me put my bike on the float and ride with them! It was pretty fun! I hadn't even remembered there was supposed to be a parade that day.

Fixies aren't normal road bikes? I guess not.
Well there was a thanksgiving day ride that went through my neighborhood.
Good thing, because before that I didn't know that there was one, I joined up and there were about 400 people in total, some some interesting bikes.

There are maybe 5 fixies in this whole city. That's not normal.
