Detroit Commute?

Moving to the Motor City soon, and am hoping to continue my merry bike to work. Any experience between Grosse Pointe and Belle Isle? Many thanks

It's been 10 years since I've lived there, but if that area is anything like it was, you'll have a more doable commute than people in other parts of metro Detroit.

Clinton River Riders and Wolverines do many group rides in those areas. Find them thru lmb.org in the resources and clubs area. It is hard to say a specific route with limited information. Jefferson ave is heavy traffic'd but the side roads are fine. When do you plan to move here?

Great. Thanks. It's Jefferson I'm concerned about (my job will be on Jefferson). Sounds like there's no river bike path, etc. Will start in June, just when the snow begins to clear.
