Bike Buddy
I joined the Washington Bike Alliance a while ago and signed up to be a mentor in their Bike Buddy program. It is for those who want to start commuting and would like help getting set up. After months of waiting I finally got my first victim. I hope I do well and convert another person to commuting by cycle. Wish me luck

That sounds like a cool program. I wish they had something like that here. Luckily I found this forum before I started commuting and learned many things here. I have been doing it 2 or 3 times a week and hope to increase that to 3 or 4 times a week. I really enjoy that ride into work in the morning when the sun has just come up and there is not much traffic on the roads yet.
I am sure you will be able to help your bike buddy avoid many pitfalls they would probably otherwise make.
