Bike stolen from LMA

I ride to the Longwood Medical area daily and had my Giant stolen 2 weeks ago. I came across this on the Mas Bike site, I think this is great and hope you agree.

Did you write down your serial number?

Remember everyone, get those serial numbers down for all of your bikes BEFORE they are stolen.

"LMA?" I ride to the LMA everyday, but I doubt that 99.5% of folks on these forums would know (legal marketing association, livestock marketing association?).

Anyway, where was it exactly and how was it locked up?

Yeah, but not to embarrass you, just post some details as a learning example for everyone else. I mean, just posting that you had a bike stolen only makes me paranoid. Adding a description of how it was locked and how the locks were overcome gives me information I could use to protect myself.

Sorry about your bike.

Not that your posting was vague, it's that your geography is over specified. Only a handful of the thousands of BF members are going to even know what the Longwood Medical Area is and even people from Boston don't call it the "LMA." A wild guess, but do you work in transportation or MASCO?

No matter.

So what's the theft story? Location? Lock? Giant model?

They cut my lock, left it on the ground and the rest is history.
