Such an Odd Feeling This Morning...
On the way to work. I had this strange sensation all over. It was like... how do I describe it... it was like not being cold. So strange, so new. What's the opposite of cold again? I WAS WARM!
So warm that I had to push up the sleeves of my Under Armor shirt and EXPOSE THE SKIN ON MY ARMS TO SUNLIGHT!!! My arms haven't seen the sun since October. Pretty sure I was going to burst into flames.
AHAHAHAHAHA!
Just wanted to share. Carry on.

I haven't exposed my arms yet (see the thread on white being most visible at night) but it's supposed to hit 70*F this afternoon! I packed a short-sleeved jersey. It's supposed to stay well above freezing the rest of the week, though by Thursday daytime highs here will be only around 40-45*F. Still, I'll take it.
I took my studs off Sunday, here's hoping they can stay on the hook until November.

I know what you mean! I was out on Sunday, and the light of the sun actually warmed my skin! I must hold on to that memory through the summer, when people start whining about how hot it is. +30C beats -10C any day of the week, IMO.

Yeah, it's PERFECT here in Madison WI. I didn't get a chance to take the studded tires off my hybrid, which is my all-purpose errand bike, so I haven't been able to do any real grocery shopping. (Well, I guess I still could, but riding with studs in this weather would seem a bit deranged.) But it doesn't matter. I'm zipping around on my lighter bikes with slicks, and it feels like a hot knife slicing butter. I enjoy feeling the ROAD again. And not wearing long johns. No more pre-ride layering of clothing ritual, no more after-ride cleaning of bike in frigid cold garage. Everything, and I mean everything, is quicker.

Oh man, I know the feeling. I went running upstairs at 0745 and said "HONEY!! HONEY!! I'M WEARING SPANDEX!!"
She looked at me funny, burst into laughter, and I just left.
But yes. And a call from the LBS tells me that my roadie is done, so I can take the MTB home over lunch and go grab the Zing for a nice post-work ride this evening.

I loved it, too!
My studs are off, too, and I enjoyed a smooth ride today.
I broke a spoke recently and had that fixed last night. My bike is all clean and looking good and I'm riding home in a frickin' tee shirt!

That bright shiny thing hurts my eyes. Makes me all warm and woozy too.
