My bells, lights, but GPS is missing

Deore XT dual action shifters, MagicShine x2, AirZound on the right (within thumb's reach), Incredibell (on the left, upside-down, under the bar so I can easily ring it with my index finger), Ergon grips, Stem Captain clock. MagicShine batteries and AirZound bottle are in the front panniers.

I like to have everything important within reach without having to take my hands off of the grips. That's why I like those dual action shifters, they save lots of space on the handlebar and allow to have gadgets like the bell and the horn right next to the grips for instant reach, since there are no separate shifters taking up space next to the grips. The bell lever is exactly where a shifter lever would normally be. They also allow to shift while breaking, so you can shift to larger cog while braking so you're not stuck in a high gear when stopped.

Time to revive this thread. I don't have a dashboard picture, so I'll just say that I like that old computer.

Yes, great thread!

No (I was armed with photon torpedoes, and a disruptor).

Yeah, I could tell that much from the photo of your handlebar :D

Adam, I want to know about the clock on the top of your stem.

Also, it seems to me that headset spacers are a great opportunity for mounting brackets of various kinds, now that we have thick spacers on threadless forks, and often many of them.

I like the dual Magicshines!

Tom, there is more about it on this page in the Commuter Bicycle Photos thread. It's from Stem Captain.

I know. I've been looking for a light mounting bracket that slips on the stem between spacers, but it seems no one makes those any more. I really wish machine shops were still in existence. Also, if I do a DIY lightning system that would be a good place to put a master switch too.

Two of them really light up the road ahead of me! This is related to the above: I'd like to move them off of the bar and mount on the steerer tube below the stem. The default rubber mounts suck. The lights can be easily bolted to a bracket. I've done it before with a piece of bent metal plate that I bolted one to the fron fender bolt on the fork, but it was too low: it was lighting up the top of the fender (shiny) and the spinning wheel which was a bit nauseating.

Ouch :( I used to secure my computers with an extra rubber band, just in case, not to mention my GPS.

this is a folding bike with narrow handlebars. I managed to cram in

1) bar ends
2) grip shifters on both sides
3) incredibell
4) MagicShine headlight
5) Garmin 705
6) Airzound (sort of hidden to the right of the 705, but reachable from the right-hand side). air bottle is lashed to front of riser

have been looking for really narrow ergo grips; the Bells suck but are easily sliced. Ergon doesn't make anything in this width (60mm) as far as I am aware.

I was thinking, 'dashboard hibachis' is one of the items from Letterman's top 10 of how cars would have progressed if Ralph Nader had never been born

colleen, I can't make out much because of the clutter. Can you take shots from other angles?

While locking my bike, I have had people asking me question like "Where do you hold the handlebar?"

I tell them I can ride not holding the bar :)

Here are some older photo, same setup only difference is the MS900 instead of the Titan light.

The main light is on the center mounted on an extender, Airzound next to it, and the Flashlight are mounted out of the way on the bottom of the drop where I can still use the drop. The third reflection of light are from the canera flash off of a reflector mount next to the Airzound horn.

My LHT, nothing too fancy; don't think there's anything there that the regulars of this forum won't recognize.
