I hate this site (BF) as it seems to cost me more money than it saves. I just had to go ahead and order the thermometer for my tandem. But then, I HAD been wanting one, as the annual North Dakota week long CANDISC ride is coming up and it's nice to get some real time morning info for dressing purposes/bragging rights. :-)

It was tricky getting the brake levers, shift levers, bell, and handlebar bag to cooperate and have decent cable routing. I managed to do it today. At 13º, it was a better day for wrenching than for riding.

Here's mine after a much-needed (but still horridly sloppy) handlebar rewrap:

Cinelli cork with amber shellac to match my honey brown brooks. It's kind of worn in now.

So is this on a bike? basket cover or something? Does the rubber band provide enough of a grip on its own?

Not a basket, it's positioned a couple of inches above the drop bars and forward.
<<<--- on this bike
It's a byproduct of mounting a windshield. The strap of inner tube is surprisingly useful.
