guess what i forgot to bring today...

underpants!

so here i sit in my office, jeans, t-shirt, and spandex underneath. nobody will ever suspect! i guess in all my preparation this morning i left out a rather important piece. oddly enough, the chamois feels kinda nice on my crappy ikea chair. first commute of the year so i was bound to forget something. but it was a gorgeous morning in seattle today; so i guess that makes up for it.

what did you forget today?

So you're gonna wear your bike shorts all day? Dude, you got jeans - go commando and hang them shorts so you don't have stuff growing down there by the time you get home.

that is a very good point, but i do have rather loose pants... i'll figure something out. i probably head out to a place downtown at lunch and just get some underpants for the rest of the day.

I did the same thing on Friday. I rode in with full-length spandex over my bike shorts, and reluctantly used the spandex as my drawers. It was hot, but I went to the Mariner's game that night...it was a little chilly by then, and things balanced out nicely This morning I brought in an extra set for if (when, probably) it happens again.

I did the same thing last Friday, went commando until lunch, and then ran over to a nearby dept store. I left one pair in my locker as an emergency pair if I forget again some day.

I agree with just going commando, but I have forgotten basically everything at one time or another: helmet, headlight battery, gun, uniform, socks, underwear, phone, keys, etc.

You forgot your 'gun'? How did it become detachable - barbed wire accident?

I knew the answer before I looked. It's happened to me also. Thought I had some at work when I didn't.

Cuz I'm Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Freeeeeeee Ballin...

FWIW I keep an entire spare change of clothes at work. I rarely touch it, but it's there if I forget anything. Most-used item? Socks. If it rains, my feet get totally drenched, so I pull out a nice pair of dry socks from my emergency stash. I just have to remember to bring another backup pair with me the next day.

Me too, plus other spares too like light batties, tubes, and wipes. So far I've had to use my spare belt and wipes.

I forgot my detachable front blinky light this morning.

I also forgot my gun. Today I will have to do all my battles with my bare hands (lethal weapons).

Another one with a detachable 'gun', has the CDC gotten involved in what must be a huge barbed wire accident trend in this country? Screw the helmet, I'm gonna start wearing a cup!
