Has anyone seen the new Cycling Plus lock tests? What were the results? Sadly they don't sell Cycling Plus where I live, or I'd just go out and buy a copy. Thanks.

I googled this and found some results for the 2005 testing they did. I just bought a new bike and to prevent it from being stolen right away I'm looking for a good lock. In the 2005 test, the Kryptonite New York 3000 u-lock came out on top in that category followed closely (for nonpower tools) by the Onguard Bulldog Mini. I just need to find a place that sells that brand. I'm surprised no one else has replied to this thread because it seems like a pretty big issue in a lot of cities.

It was easier for me to get a subscription here in the USA.

Ah....sorry...I don't have the C+ test here with me or I'd give you more details. It's at work and, since it is Saturday, I'm not!
That seems like a steep price for a U-lock, but I guess with transportation or shipping costs maybe. How about a New York Lock or even the Evolution Std? We are coming out with a brand new Evolution lock this month. It has an oval crossbar and double deadbolts like the New York. Basically, it's moving up a notch and going to be similar to the NY Lock at a lower price point. Might be something to look at if you are looking for another lock.
Safe riding, Ziemas
