Rear light video
Just made a little video of my rear lighting setup:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_GErvyBLQ8
3x Planet Bike Superflash, 1x Trek generic 5 LED blinkie, and a Tigerlight flashlight with red Mag Lite lens (flashlight is used at work with clear lens, then I put in the red lens for the ride home).
Might seem like overkill to some but on the unlit 55mph 2 lane road with no shoulders I ride at midnight 5 days a week I like to be as visible as possible.
Anybody have videos of their own setups? Ideas/comments?

What's the runtime on that flashlight and what kind of batteries?
I wonder if it's too much flashing? I would have liked to see it with all solid lights and one blinking. Do you also wear a vest? I wear the white/green version of this one: Click Here
My cycling buds call me Liberace. I call it my "don't run me over vest"

Hey! Where'd you find a vest with LEDs in it?

Runtime on the flashlight is just over an hour on the 7.2v NiMH rechargeable battery pack. My ride to work is in daylight, ride home is evening, so I go to work with it fully charged, use it for the occasional flashlight use, and there's plenty of runtime for my 25 minute or so ride home.
I wear a regular fluorescent/reflective vest, no blinky lights on it. This is the one I use:
https://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=94700
(actual vest is more of a bright neon yellow than what it looks like there)
Are those LEDs on the vest red? I've been trying to avoid having anything red facing forward since that's illegal in California and confusing to alot of people.

Wow, that's pretty wierd looking. I bet it makes cars slow down as they are trying to figure out what the heck that is in front of them. Serves the purpose!

That's a great setup.
My one comment would be to perhaps leave one of the Superflash lights on steady mode. It's a nice contrast to all the llights flashing and also makes it easier for cars to define their distance from you.

Overall the Superflash is more practical. Unless you can run two lights at once to make up for a Super Doppler shutting off or needing work to keep going. Running four solves the narrow beam problem but uses 12 AAA batteries. Not cheap to run. I don't use all four together any more.

Too bad about the reliability issues...that was a cool effect
I've got a bunch of cheap rechargeable NiMH AAA's I picked up at Harbor Freight for $3.99/4 pack (only 700mAh each, but hey they're rechargeable so as long as they run long enough for me to get home no problem). Overnight I can recharge the 8 batteries and the flashlight has its own charging cradle. Right now I'm still using the original batteries that came with the lights, but I'm all set up for when those start getting dim on me.
