Hum...

or stink

As i rode to workthis morning, something skunky caught my attention - not unusual around here. It got worse and worse until....

In the middle of the road, completely detached, was a skunk's arse, complete with tail. It was particularly "rich" if you know what I mean .

At no point did I see the rest of the poor creature. Does that mean there is an arseless skunk on the loose?

Don't worry, it will grow back. Skunk's arses are detachable. Same kind of thing as with lizzards.

I found one of those on a train platform once. It was the whole back of a skunk that had been neatly bisected, so it had legs and some intestines too. Smelled it when the train slowed down for my stop, got out of the car, there it was.

I rolled over a possum this morning during a momentary attention lapse. Good thing it was flatter than they usually are.

For some reason, I find the smell of skunk mildly pleasant.
I wonder why...
