Lady commuter got nailed by a cab this morning

on Chambers heading west... The po-po was on the scene already so I didn't stop to avenge her, but I just thought if she reads this I'd say hope you are ok, and to everyone else wear a helmet and watch out for traffic because they are not watching out for you!

Gobot, you don't post a location under your avatar. Where did this happen?

Ahh.. good o'le Chambers. Moreso then most other streets, the cars are gunning for ya here. Especially right past the left turn off the bridge as they find themselves about to hit traffic the width of lower Manhattan.

Obviously NYC, b/c we're the center of the universe.

(<--- ducks and runs)

But seriously, I don't like riding on Chambers though perhaps it's been repaved recently maybe? The cruddy condition of the street combined with the chaotic nature of downtown Manhattan... yuck. Unfortunately, it's a feeder for the Brooklyn Bridge so what are you gonna do? I hope lady commuter is OK.
