full moon, what a ride this AM!
5 AM. No traffic. Full moon. Temps 20 degrees above normal. Once I got to my destination, I had to keep riding. Others should be so lucky to experience this.
Anybody else out riding with the full moon this morning?

Yep, had the same thing here in Connecticut. I rode a little slower tis morning to just enjoy the beauty of everything.

Yep, this dark morning I managed to see one of those picture-postcard-type views: harvest moon over the Boise River, with a silhouetted blue heron standing in the river. What, did I bike into a calendar shoot?
Perfect riding temp, too: 40 deg. F at 6:45 a.m. here. Arrived at work with only the faintest hint of sweat, yet never was uncomfortably cold during the ride.
This is why I bike-commute.

Full moon, 90 degrees here in Boston...and the Red Sox are in town. People are going to be completely off the hook on the ride home. Think I'll take the long way around...

I saw the full moon as I was heading out of my garage, but it wasn't visible for most of the ride. Too many trees here in NC. I hardly needed my headlight, though.

It was just under 40 degrees in Boise, but clear. I love that temperature -- I don't freeze, but I don't get to work covered in sweat either. And it's cold enough that the the MUP is still empty at 7 a.m.

yeah the temp was perfect this morning at about 6:30. There were some whispy clouds around the moon this morning that made it just kind of look really cool. Turned the headlight off for the last bit of a climb up to St. Als before I got to Orchard. I've always liked riding/skiing in the moonlight, there's something magical about the blue calm glow of it.

Pretty cool around here too. About 55 deg this morning. I got a flat, fixed it in 15 minutes. Later at the end of my commute I hear clunk clunk clunk from the rear wheel and thought I popped a spoke. Found a piece of thick wire impaling the tire sideways hitting the brake calliper. Amazing I didn't get another flat.
