Took my first wicked spill today.

Pedaled through a quick S-turn from the street onto the sidewalk of my block. Came in too wide. Right handlebar clipped an iron fence. The bike stopped. I did not. I didn't flip over the handlebars but I was sort of launched halfway over them as my bike pivoted and fell to the left. I jacked up my bottle holder, my left brake handle and possibly my front derailleur. Got some scrapes on the heels of my palms and my right pinkie, and banged up my knees a bit. A driver rolled up and asked if I was okay. Yeah, I said. I went inside to pour some hydrogen peroxide on myself and headed out again. I managed to stay out of trouble for the rest of the day.

The best thing i ever did, was i was coming through a 'forested' area on a paved trail, I clipped a tree with my right pedal at about 35 mph, the bike and I flew through the air, and slid into the street. From there, someone made a right turn in a pickup truck, that had been 'lifted' (from the intersection I had stopped about 5 feet from), and went right over me, none of the wheels, or the body of the truck ever hit me!!! He didn't stop, i guess he never saw me, but it was crazy, i had 3 broken toes, and was scared more than anything...

Also, my experience tells me to roll when i crash, it saves a lot of pain, just a tip if you ever come off again, just try to roll, and protect your head with your hands, so you DON"T land on them
