Unbreakable Rims
Anyone know of a super tough set of road-bike rims and spokes (wheelset) for commuting. There are a few unavoidable bumps on my commute....

Velocity Deep-V rims are pretty bombproof too. Add some double butted spokes along with a a good wheel build and you're set. 
I've got a set of Deep-V + Sapim Spokes + Ultegra hubs with 28/32 f/r spoke count with 2x lacing from Spinlite Cycling and they've been great. I've only had to true the rear one time a teensy bit after hitting a rock.

I use good old sun cr-18 hand built 32 3X. They work very well even on some really bumpy pavement and bad RR crossings.

Mavic Open Pro with 32 spokes and Ultegra Hubs. Got the whole wheelset at performancebike for about $200. I have about 3,000 miles on them on both my bikes and they are still true as heck!

i have rinolites 700c with deore hubs and 36 double butted spokes and brass nips laced 3X. these are my touring / MTB wheels and they seem pretty indestructable eventhough it's obvious that they were built by a machine or an idiot. Ive used them with a 300 lb. load while touring and on a rigid mtb racing and everywhere in between.

Strongest 700c rims -- Velocity Dyad, Sun RhynoLite, Salsa Delgado-X (Delgado Cross), Mavic A319 Touring (Formerly A719 if you can find some old stock).
Strongest 26" - Velocity Cliffhanger, Salsa Gordo
Any of these rims will build up into a bombproof wheel. I like the Dyad's myself. Use butted spokes - actually stronger than straight guage spokes because they are designed to give where needed - and I like the Wheelsmith brand.
