Makes me wonder how much of it is the not-so-technically-gifted stock-boy slapping the bikes together without really knowing what to check. I thought recalls were for defective products, not urging people to call in to find out how to tighten bolts.

Bicycle recalls for miles and miles.
It's not just the ones that go to WallyWorld. Recalls happen continuously in every industry as a mater of course.

The recall comes after Huffy has received two reports of the crank coming off causing injury.
The bike was sold at Kmart nationwide from May 2007 through July 20007.
    John Connor: Who sent you?

T-800: You did. Over 18 millennia from now, you reprogrammed me to be your consumer advocate here, in this time. This Huff bike you're riding is dangerous and it must be taken off the market. Also, your foster parents are dead.
