A quick ancedote on those who worry about not having showers at work.
Last Friday I drove to work.
Saturday I rode a century.
I'm pretty sure I smelled worse on Friday night than on Saturday night.

Twice in my commuting I've had jobs where because of office changes I went from baby wipe changes in the handicap stall in the bathroom to having a shower.
Yes the baby wipe changes are fine, or nothing if you are blessed with not perspiring. But a nice relaxing warm shower (not hot someone might burn themselves) is really nice after a long commute in and it allows me to really put the hammer down too
I also think that with either method I feel cleaner the whole day then I would when I commute in my work clothes by car. Plus my clothes look alot nicer, clean/crisp wise, when I just put them on at work vrs sitting in a car/bus with them on.

This is weird, I'm sure. I used to smell when I worked out, but about 7 months ago I became vegetarian. I haven't really worked out since. About 3 months ago I became car-free with no prior bicycling experience (seriously, I bought my first bike the day I gave up my car, and the next day I had 17-mile trip to school).
I don't really eat and processed foods, fast foods, soda, or beer, and I drink about a gallon of water a day. My sweat comes out like water with a hint of salt. Yesterday it was 99 degrees Fahrenheit (37 degrees Celsius), and I got to school after my 17 mile commute only requiring a face wash.
I don't expect people to change their lifestyle, I just wanted to share.

In some places, you can get away without showering. In others, you can get away with just cleaning up in the restroom. But some workplaces can be a bit pickier.
Even if a shower is not required, I think it's not a bad idea. Walking in looking sharp and full of energy is part of my way of showing what cycling does for you. Besides, a refreshing shower after hammering in the heat or standing in a blast of hot water after slogging through a winter storm is guaranteed to make anyone feel like a million bucks.
