Removing T-9 chain-smiley stains from clothes?

I use Boeshield T-9 on my chains, and I picked up a nice stain across the front of my hi-viz yellow jacket lifting my bike down from the rafters. I tried to use Dawn dishwashing detergent, but since the lube isn't oil based, it doesn't work very well.

Has anybody discovered the magic formula for removing the black stains?

Do you plan on wearing your hi-viz yellow jacket out on a date or to a job interview?

If not, don't worry.

I will be wearing it on dates and to job interviews. How can I get it clean?

Just go down to your local dry cleaners and either let them clean it or ask them if you can use some of their spot cleaner. It'll only cost you a couple of dollars to dry clean it.

Goop brand hand cleaner is an excellent laundry pre-spotter as well, if you'd rather have a home remedy.https://www.goophandcleaner.com/
I'm not a paid pitchman, just a satisfied customer.

I've had good luck getting all manor of stains out of my jacket with the two part Vanish stain remover. I'm surprised at just how well it works.

If you're wearing a yellow jacket to a date and/or job interview please don't bother the board with why either aren't calling back.

Poor a can of coke into the washing machine, add soap, wash as normal. Surprisingly it works.

Ahh, but these are the jobs -- and the women -- that are truly worth having.

4 parts rubbing alcohol, 1 part salt. Scrub it with a rag. This has worked for me.

simple green is good (can't vouch for your specific chain lube but many others...)

If your date is accepting of you wearing a high visibility yellow jacket on the date, they will accept the chain grease

Swarfega is possibly a close relation of Goop. It is the traditional mechanic's hand cleanser and works on oily stains on clothes and carpets as well. You rub some in to emulsify the oil or grease and wash out with soapy water.
I have used it after tramping across the carpet with a lump of chain gunge lodged in my shoe.
