Wheee I can do a third of my commute on street view :) My commute starts at hidden ridge and ends at royal/635 right now according to google.
Where it ends Not my favorite crossing. 635 and royal ick.

Now I can link to that in my posts and say I got pushed into that there pit of a pothole by some cell phone talking soccer mom ;)

You ride royal north of 635, brave man....But if guess to get to double oak that's the best way?

It is a tossup between that an another route. Sometimes I'll go over freeport parkway but that highway crossing kinda sucks when busy due to the right lane going on the highway and the amount of traffic. Plus at the end before I turn off at what i think is sandy lake there is a really bad 2 mile section of rolling hills with barely enough room for oncoming cars to pass.

Royal hasn't been so bad at most times. Sure lots of tractor trailers pulling in and out but they are pretty respectful as long as I ride predictably and with traffic. I even get friendly waves from a number of them.

That stop sign in my link I usually wait in line with a good 30+ cars to get to. It costs me a couple minutes but the people behind me stay behind me and give me room through the next stop sign. When I have filtered they kinda shove me off into the side of the road. Anectodal of course but it works for me at that intersection.

I think mostly those are my two choices. I'm definately not going to take macarthur up (or denton tap) :D

Well campion should be done by 2010???that is suppoesed to tie in all the way to Denton. They have funding for the next stage to start next year
