Alert-Shirt alternative or no pocket

I have three Alert-Shirts. The most used ones have faded badly and gotten dirty too. After several years of daily use, it is time to replace.

But... They are now $9.99 and more disappointingly have a pocket. (The price is still inexpensive, just surprised they are $5 more now)

The pocket concerns me as it goes right under bag strap. That could cause chaffing or discomfort.

Perhaps I can remove the pocket when it is new and there will be no fabric damage. That would be fine. Anyone know if this is possible?

Or is there a good alternative to Alert Shirt ANSI Lime?

They apologize that pockets aren't available on small, 4X and 5X... And I know it wasn't too long ago I saw shirts on there without pockets. You should ask them if they have an option for no pocket in your size.

Edit: Or get one like you have now... I assume your old one is cotton/poly and not moisture wick...

I sent an email inquiry about a month ago and they quickly replied that they had no more no-pocket T's in my size(s) (M preferred or L)

Hmmm. I wonder if this will be hotter or cooler than the 100% poly 'Moisture-Wick' in summer heat. and if "Safety Green" is the same as ANSI Lime. They do call the cotton blend "'Jerzees' Heavyweight"

I'm pretty sure it's the same T-shirt as this (scroll down to see safety green):

$2.10 apiece! They sometimes have 10%-20% off coupons floating around.

I usually buy the non-fluorescent yellow and orange, but have a few of the safety green as well. The safety green is indeed similar to ANSI lime, but may not be quite as bright as what you are used to. The fabric is not really "heavyweight" like a Hanes BeefyT, but pretty thin--which I prefer. I actually like this 50/50 fabric over 100% poly or 100% cotton because it feels more like natural cotton but still dries fairly fast.

Every color besides white is $1.30 extra... still a great deal!
