One of the dangers of commuting...

You might forget to pack your belt and have to walk around all day holding your pants up!

I have forgotten socks before. My smiley face DeFeet socks give casual business attire a whole new meaning.

I once forgot my work socks and was forced to wear bright yellow DeFeet cycling socks with Hula-Girls on them for the day. I was amazed how many folks pay attention to socks.

At least you remembered the pants/trousers! You would've looked even stranger walking around just wearing a belt...

Same boat here. Forgot my belt, walked around the office like those kids with their pants half ass.

You could always wear your cycling shorts/pants!!!

I did that for halloween, but then I'm an engineer, I can probably get away with wearing cycling attire cause all I do is sit in front of a PC all day..

That happened to me once; I tied an audio patch cable through my belt loops.

Nowadays I keep a belt, shoes, street outerware, and a complete extra change of clothes in my office. So all I have to transport are underwear, socks, shirt, and pants as needed.

Oh, yes. No belt, no tie, no socks (white gym socks an interesting style choice with a suit). How about this -- no towel. Try drying off with your sweaty t shirt. That was a fun day. Or, how about this -- first chilly day, so wore my skull cap but, oops, no helmet. So, now I follow Rich Clark's advice -- works for all except the helmet.

I forgot a belt and underwear once. Went to the nearby Banana Republic & bought one of each. The perky young sales clerk commented. "Oh, stocking up on accessories today?" I spared her the detail that I was going Commando at that very moment and waould soon be putting on what she was bagging.

I forgot my pants one day and had to sprint home to get 'em, and then get back by the time class started. Just did. I now keep pants, shoes, socks, and a shirt at work.

I've forgotten just about every article of clothing there is at least once or twice. The strangest thing for me was when I mistakenly picked up my wife's biking shorts and packed them instead of my own!!

I accidentally packed a pair of my wifes pants once. They looked just like mine except were a little wider in the hips and had the zipper open on the other side. Couldn't figure out why the zipper was backwards, then it hit me what I had done. Luckily nobody noticed it.

Good timing from whoever started this thread. I forgot my change of underwear this morning. I'm also terrible when it comes to forgetting my tie.

This begs a question. If you pack your biking shorts in your bag (or hers in this case) when you ride to work what do you wear while riding? Seems like the might be a bit drafty.

I once packed one of my black T - shirts only to find later it was my wife's. The bra tucked inside it kind of gave it away.

I don't forget things. What happens is that I pack my stuff and then our Hungarian Vizsla pup (now 1 y.o) raids the bag and steals one sock or my underwear and i don't notice when I close up.

i ne er fo get an thing! I ju t don t reme ber som tim s.

I forgot my belt once, too. Bad part was that I had also chosen a pair of pants that was missing the button, which is fine, if you're wearing a belt...
luckily, I had a strap from a reflective triangle that I used instead.

ROFLOL, this stuff is good! I get caught wearing my defeet all the time, and the clients always ask to see what I am wearing today. They like the coffee cups and the penguins (linux rocks). I learned at my last job I commuted to and fro, to always pack the night before, pack in ziplock bags, double bag, and find a place to store it, if you can, so you don't ever forget.

It's puzzling, isn't it, when you arrive at work and everythings locked up?

I have forgotten my Belt and socks before. The worst was the day I
forgot my laptop. I turned around and worked from home that day.

Yeah, I grabbed what I thought was one of my white dress shirts only to dress at work and realize it was one of my daughters blouses. I just rolled up the sleaves, although it was pretty tight and it buttoned the opposite way (I don't think anyone noticed).
