Experiences with missing rear dropout eyelet
I'm currently riding 2-3 days per week on a mountain bike with a rear rack. It's working very well and I'm considering switching to a single-speed road bike I can buy from a friend. My only concern is that there are no rear-dropout eyelets for fenders or a rack (or space to braze one on). I'm ok with using p-clamps on the seat stays, but not sure about the rear dropout. I'll be carrying a laptop, clothes/shoes and lunch with me.
Any experiences with this? What worked well, or didn't work at all?
Thanks all for any help!

Hello
The following link is to some racks that attach to the rear axle quick release rather than the eyelets.
I do not have expierence with these or others but they seem like they would be very strong. I have heard of
other mfgs who make racks that attach like this (name?).
You might get a better response to your request for user feedback on these over in the Touring Forum (or do a search) it comes up for discussion occasionaly. good luck
