First day - not to bad!

Just wanted to let everyone know I just had my first day on the bike into the office. The new bike was fantastic (Trek 7.5FX). Total distance = 8.4 miles / Total time = Around 40 minutes. Its definitely proved how I need to improve my fitness as 2 of the short steeper hills kicked my but. I will try and take some pics of my route when I get a chance!

Fantastic!

Hills always kick you butt - you just go up them faster as your fitness improves.

Ha. I just bought one of those last night -- the Urban Assault Vehicle got doored last week, trashed the front wheel, it was time for a wheel upgrade anyway, and once I priced those out I was halfway to the 7.5FX. I fell in love on the test ride. I think it's going to be a great commuter!
