    Was this a steal?

I'm a little new to bike shopping but this looks like a sweet deal. Full Ultegra, carbon fork, Aksium wheels, $600. And it has eyelets for a rear rack. Is this a steal or am I crazy?

    edit: forgot the link...

maybe that's why your first few bikes should be from a bike shop?...

When man invented the bicycle he reached the peak of his attainments. Here was a machine of precision and balance for the convenience of man. And (unlike subsequent inventions for man's convenience) the more he used it, the fitter his body became. Here, for once, was a product of man's brain that was entirely beneficial to those who used it, and of no harm or irritation to others. Progress should have stopped when man invented the bicycle.~E. I think he was making a reference to this story rather than implying that the auctioned bike was actually stolen.

I know, I just meant that if the deal's too good to be true, one would rather stick to a LBS bike..
