Tires - 700 X 38-45c ?
Who makes a good, FLAT RESISTANT, easy rolling, smooth & quiet, good traction, high mileage, high pressure 85 PSI+, tire for my hybrid. Specialized, Crosstrail, w/25mm wide rims. I'd prefer 38 to 45c width, as 45c is OEM.
I average a flat every other day ---- sheeesh! Always on the rear.....

Geez. I use Specialized All Condition Armadillos. They are extremely flat resistant. The max width I've seen is 28mm though. The Specialized Infinity or Crossroads Armadillos come in 38MM but you will be trading width for rolling resistance.

On the positive side of things, I'm getting really good at fixing flats........ LOL
Just stretch it over the inverted front tire for a firm, round, workbench, buff it with sandpaper, paint it with cement, slap the patch on, ck the tire, reinstall and reinflate. OTRA!

I've had great luck with the Panaracer Paselsa TG; I believe you can get it in a 37 or 38mm size. If you want something beefier and have the tire clearance, the Schwalbe Big Apple is good too, IMO. But I think the smallest they come in is a 50mm size.

Schwalbe Marathon PLUS are one of the most flat-resistant tyres in larger sizes. They are hard to get on and off but can resist nails and thumb-tacks.
There is a guide to allowable tyre diameter with your rim size. 25mm is very wide for a rim. Wider tyres are better on rough ground with ruts and potholes. if your road is smoothe, the narrowest tyres will be lighter. A 35mm should be more than comfortable and reliable on a decent road and even quite a bad one.

I use a 700x38 Specialized Infinity Armadillos. Zero flats and I can maintain 17 mph for more than an hour on my upright hybred. I also like the ability to ride over gnarly patched potholes with no worries. I used 700x28 gatorskins but had pinch flats at anything less than 100 psi. I'm 230 lbs.

try 42-622 regular Schwalbe Marathons.
however if you get a flat that often always on the same wheel perhaps something else is wrong-
check to make sure there is not something embedded on the inside of your tire, also check rim tape,
spokes, etc.

I got my trusty ruler out, since I had the tire off to fix another flat yesterday, and the interior of the rim measures 22mm. Soooooo, I should be able to go to a 38 without problem. Now to find one that truly meets my specifications of easy rolling, quiet, FLAT RESISTANT, good traction, decent everywhere except muddy trails.
And, I always find the offender, usually a fleck of glass, always remove it, always on the tread side, always in a different spot, always check the rim side anyway, and it's always different. My tube almost looks polka dotted ----- LOL. Does anyone know of a source for those little dime size patches in bulk?
Keep the suggestions coming, though, as they sure are appreciated.

I roll on 700x35 Schwalbe Marathons and my average speed when I'm moving is about 14.5mph. I can sustain 20ish pretty easy on my upright bike . niagaracycle.com has 'em for cheap, too.

I love the 42mm Conti Contact Extralights on my Crosstrail. Pricey, but they roll great. Only 520gr each. I've picked glass out of them twice with no damage. They went on super easy, and have bonus reflective sidewalls.
And I've long since given up on glue patches. Park Tools glueless FTW. Much simpler and faster to use. Lots of folks pan on the glueless patches because the older ones apparently weren't that good, but the Park's hold up as well as anything.
