Luxe Bamboo Go! Towel ... Anyone use these?

I swear I scour & scour performancebike all the time & I just now came across these today. Luxe Bamboo Go! Towel, description from performance:

Super soft and very absorbent, this towel can be used anytime and anywhere for a quick clean up or cool down

Just open it up, add some water and watch it expand to a 14 x 20” size

When you’re done, just throw it away or machine wash it for another use

Dries quickly without becoming stiff and crunchy

Naturally antibacterial, microbial, organically grown, unbleached, undyed, unscented and completely biodegradable/compostable
Seems perfect for commuters or anyone cycling on a hot day for that matter. It figures I just now noticed these as the Summer is winding down.

At .99 I'm gonna pick up a few.

Never tried one but they have them at my local Performance sitting on the check out counter.
I've thought about buying one or two to keep in my bag for emergencies.

I wonder if they fit back into the container after a use or if they need lots of dry time first. It says they're reusable.

I see them a lot in kids stores or tourist stores. They have been around for a bit.

You will never be able to get it back into the original packing. Personally I find a nice plush towel much better then one of these thin towels.

Microfibre (polyester) pack towels are useful and dry fast. I haven't tried bamboo, but to compare we use bamboo nappies for our 8 month old - more absorbent and faster-drying than cotton, probably on a par absorbency-wise with microfibre but definitely take longer to dry. I'd expect similar from the towel.

The Go! towel is great, but don't mistake it for something it's not. Its main value to a cyclist, as I see it, is as a "just in case" towel. It's extremely compact until you use it -- then it's just a very thin towel, reusable but no longer particularly compact. Also, while it's probably very absorbent for what it is, it is extremely thin (think handi-wipe) and won't absorb a great deal of liquid. I would carry one to clean up from emergency roadside wrenching or mop up blood, but if I knew that I was going to want a towel for something, that would not be the one.

Just received them about 20 minutes ago. I thought that they were .99 a piece which seemed to me to be a bargain. Nope, they come in 10 packs for .99, now I have 100 of them! Well 99 as I tried one. Big thumbs up for these lil guys, they are roughly the size of 2 stacked up poker chips.

It took very little water to hydrate them for use & they are very soft & super strong. Well I do think that the 99 left will last me some time & I'm telling ya these things are great!
