Opinions on the Swrve Milwaukee Hoodie?
Anyone have an experience with these jackets? Are they breathable? How waterproof are they? How would this be for a winter in Vancouver? To warm for a summer night when it's raining? Thanks!

No clue about the hoodie.
My experience with Swrve is that they seem like they seem to have the right attitude and they try but they miss the mark big time. I had a bad experience with their knickers. It ended up costing me a bunch of time and money, and I'm stuck with a pair of pants that are ill fitting and clearly not fully realised on the design side. A joke. A disaster.
I'm done with them. My opinion , look elsewhere.

"three eyelets in pits for ventilation" I doubt will ventilate much. But i dont know how big they are, just sounds like it'll suck in that regard.

The bare zipper is sure to leak. Gore Tex is great but not with the bare zipper. It kind of defeat the purpose.

The Milwaukee Hoodie is not waterproof. I have ridden in the rain in Vancouver - this jacket will not cut the mustard, nor keep it dry. Most softshell materials are designed with occasional showers in mind, not the wall of grey water that is Vancouver from October to March. Grab one of the waterproof jackets from MEC. At least they have proper pitzips.

I bought a pair of knickers and I windshirt from them. A bit on the expensive side, but I thought they were nice and well made. I sent the knickers back, because they were too tight. They were professional and helpful. I have been debating the Milwaukee Hoodie for commuting this winter.

YOu can do much better with a visit to WalMart for a sweatshirt and a good rain-resistant windbreaker.

Walmart is gross! I am an Accounting student, and even my conservative professors warn us about the evils of Walmart's effect on the economy and its hand in the demise of the middle class. Shop ANYWHERE else!

It doesn't look like the hood is stowable, which I've found really decreases vision when trying to look behind you as a hood can flap all over the place blocking your view.
Also, the lack of pitzips is a big minus for a cycling jacket. It does have three small holes for venting according to the site, although I'd question just how effective they are.
Lastly it seems to be more of a fashion item than a cycling item; it doesn't seem to have created a good balance of the two.
And in my opinion $120 so a bit steep for that jacket due to the lack of practical features.

hoods are bad news on a bike unless you like extra resistance. It only takes a little wind to catch that hood and pull it open like a parachute. I try to stay away from hoods on any jackets I wear while cycling.

My opinion is that it is expensive!
Looks like a nice late fall leisure ride jacket. But not much else.
Looking good and winter cycling don't go together too well. Get what works, which is often times a lot cheaper than looking good.
For me, I bought a nice Louis Garneau Winbreaker, It was on sale for super cheap at my LBS since they are clearing stock for this seasons gear. Got it for 20 bucks.
I went to REI and got a nice fleece, on sale with coupon, 25 bucks, and then for another 25 bucks, again, on sale, I got some nice cycling wind breaking, waterproof pants.
All I really need now is a nice hat or balaclava
