that is the last thing I would want to keep on my bike after putting my sweaty ass on it.

A synthetic version of those were a popular cruiser bike accessory about 20 years ago. Regular sheepskin covers were available, but the synthetic version could be washed in a regular washing machine. Actually quite comfortable on a cruiser bike.
