my single speed nakamura (1976) commuter + questions

so on june 25th i bought a used nakamura bike from an elder japanese man around here for 25$ only ,it was in rough shape, had a faulty rear derailleur but still road worthy so I decided to get it!

they i ran the serial number at the local nakamura dealer (sport expert) and we found out the bike was made in 1976 and it was a top of the line model worth around 450$ (cnd) when new.

dismantled the bike and beadblasted it to repaint it a nice white with orange lug lines(original color was ugly sun faded gumming up metallic blue paint)

then all went wrong , had a fire in the shop so i had to bring the biek back home, then it did rain like 42 days straight so it was all too humid to do any painting.

finally last week I was able to finish the bike from the ground up minus the rear and front derailleur, bought a BMX 16 tooth free wheel and made a single speed outta it (less things to break over time)

Now, i wanna know if you guys know what is the best battery i could use for a mr11 custom headlight ? (lightweight is important and not expensive is SUPER important)

also, is there something i can use to make a trunk on my rear rack to store my elmet in it at the train station ?? i just cannot justifie bringing my helmet with me in class and in the train and metro at the affluence point of the morning and evening!

my wheel is also a little bent in the rear, i have a truing stand (homemade and a spoke whrench, just i dunno how not to scrap the wheel even more ? any one have the basic explanation for trueing a wheel out (link maybe !)

pictures of the bike: (excuse the pictures i had limited light and couldnt focus the camera even in manual mode)

the paint was perfect but my cat made the bike tip over and the paint chipped in some places

(it fell on some 2 litre paint gallon (the metal ones))

i need to do some touching up and the rear wheel bolter parts needs a plasti dip!

the saddle is an old one i had with all the vynil ripped off, the bike had a brook on it, dont want it to be stolen!

is the bike too big, or the seat too low?

teh bike is a bit big but i found out i have a longer torso and not comfortable at all on smaller bikes (still need to figure out why) so i did some compensation by taking a slightly larger frame and lowering the seat a little bit, it rides perfectly fine, my mountain bike are set up in the same manner by a local long know bike fitter (robert lacourse sport, he was a trippled gold medal olympic champion in his days iirc) owns a shop since he retired from professional cycling!

Don't worry about the Brooks being stolen. Put it on there, be comfortable, that's what matters. If you're still worried about it, chain it to your frame or something.
