Do you ever get 'swept away' while riding in the rain? Especially with cross-currents coming from intersections/driveways? Due to the poor drainage around here locally, the street that I use turns into white water rapids every time we get more than a light shower.

I haven't had a problem with it. Sheldon Brown said that bikes can't hydroplane. I would guess that limits how much you can be swept away.
